I bought this book (among others) while visiting family in Sarnia this past summer, at the superlative @sarniabookkeeper, and just now read it. Jensen draws the reader in immediately, putting you in place, and then continuing with writing that is both poetic and a lament. Carry is not a linear memoir but a collection of connected essays and stories of a life impacted by cultural, generational and personal trauma. There is so much depth and richness of storytelling here.
