When I saw @mockturtle17 post about this childhood favorite, I knew I had to get my hands on a copy. Inter-library loan to the rescue! Published in 1964 but sadly out of print, Felicia is the tale (heh) of a cat who disguises herself as a young girl. The drawings are so cute, hinting at the cat behind the glamour of the girl. Not to take away from the charm of the story, but it could so easily be adapted into a quite scary novel!
