Dracula and Jane Eyre have been two of my favorite books since I was a girl, so when I saw that a contemporary book had been written featuring the women from the novels, particularly Lucy Westenra and Bertha Mason, I was delighted. I’ve had a literary crush on Dracula and Rochester (what can I say, I like the bad ones) and reading Reluctant Immortals didn’t change that, but I loved this modern spin on the well-known stories.
