My Sunday morning was finishing up Ghosts I Have Been by Richard Peck, an oldie but goodie from my 80s childhood. Not all fiction from that time holds up well, but this one did, and I actually found it funnier than perhaps I did way back when. My favorite character, aside from plucky heroine (and recipient of the ‘Second Sight’) Blossom Culp, is anglophile (and eccentric spinster) Miss Dabney. It’s an entertaining read from start to finish. And that fantastic cover gives such a hit of nostalgia.
