My introduction to Hilary Mantel was through the Wolf Hall trilogy, which I read because of my lifelong interest in Anne Boleyn, and they are some of my favorite books. Learnjng to Talk is a collection of autobiographical stories, and I was once more captivated by her sublime use of language, both elevating and grounding each story.
