I finished my year of visiting bookstores by going to two in New York City — @strandbookstore and @booksaremagicbk — both of which have been on my bookstore bucket list. I probably could have spent all day and then some wandering the Strand (one of their slogans is “get lost in the stacks”) and I have been wanting to visit Books Are Magic since the beginning of the Covid pandemic, when I bought a “stay safe, read books” shirt from them online.
