Raskels, stripefoots, and knackys, oh my! Summer Fishing in Lapland is a book I only became aware of after an author I follow on Goodreads (KJ Charles) posted a positive review and it just sounded so offbeat I had to get my hands on a copy. It’s a quirky tale of one woman’s quest to survive a curse by catching a particular pike, but she’s encumbered by a host of mythical and human characters. I will say this—I’ve never wanted to douse myself in bug repellent as much as I did while reading this book.
