Lost in the Stream

Parts of this book and some of Hunt’s observations I quite liked, but for most of it, I felt like the point of the book (the ways in which we are haunted by people, object, places) got lost in the weeds. Going by what other folks have said about this book on Instagram, I think this is a case of “it’s not the book, it’s me.” I’ve also read enough to know that the “stream of consciousness” style of writing isn’t one that appeals to me. I loved Hunt’s novel Mr. Splitfoot, so perhaps I’ll just stick with her fiction.
