I collect books about books/reading/bookstores/libraries/you get the idea. I’ve never read anything by Lewis (gasp!) or Tolkien (the horror!) and I think if I had, I would probably have enjoyed The Reading Life, a compendium of essays and commentary by Lewis. There were some bon mots and snippets I thought were sublime, but shelf space is at a premium as you can see in this photo, so I’m undecided if I’ll be keeping this book in my collection.
