Eva Moves the Furniture is one of my favorite books, and I’ve enjoyed all of Margot Livesey’s writing. The Road From Belhaven was no exception—I read it in less than a day and was completely taken with the story of a young woman in 19th century Scotland. (Side note: I got to meet Ms. Livesey several years ago at the Decatur Book Festival, and she wrote kind inscriptions in each of the two books I presented, and that are still in my collection, pictured.)
