I spent a rainy morning in DC browsing this (mostly) used bookstore a short Lyft ride from our hotel. It has a rich history in the district, and three levels to explore, chock full of books. After picking up a couple of history books, I climbed a wobbly stepladder to reach the “books about books” section and was amply rewarded. I also found a collection of short stories by Alan Bennett, having been drawn in by the titillating title.
