Over-Seasoned

Things I loved about this book: the concept of a museum filled with object from everyday people, the idea that these things are worthy of keeping and sharing, of their stories being told; and the way in which the main character experiences the death of her mother, the loss of that relationship and the ensuing grief. If the novel had just been about those aspects, it probably would be a favorite read. Unfortunately, there was a lot more (romantic relationships, family secrets, catastrophic events, and more) that conflated the story and made it just mediocre.
