I love Sarah Moss’s writing. Her books are long enough to be satisfying and despite their brevity never feel as if too much has been left off the page. In The Fell, she brings us back to late 2020, when we were in the grip of the Covid pandemic—the fears, the lockdowns, the isolation, the unknown—and how our humanity centers on connection, in various ways and means, and how the loss/removal/blocking of those connections impacted us.
