newspaper article with details about vampire folklore found amongst Stoker’s papers
I’m lucky enough to live fairly close to @therosenbach which, among their 400,000+ collection, they have a first edition of Dracula, the only known existing dust jacket for the first edition, a paperback first edition, and Bram Stoker’s own copious notes for the novel, including outlines, early plot ideas, and research. It was amazing to see these things in person! We also got to see (and hold) a first edition of Frankenstein and an early American printing of Polidori’s The Vampyr. A dream come true for this grownup goth girl and lifelong Dracula fan. Description of each pic in captions.
