It was such a trip down memory lane to read through these two books! Some of the books described (some with pics of their covers) were ones I still own, or remember reading, and others were ones I’d forgotten I read (The Trouble With Wednesdays, anyone?) I was such a fan of Judy Blume, Paula Danzigar, Christopher Pike, Lois Duncan, the Wildfire series of books, etc. And what GenX girl didn’t read VC Andrews?! I never did read the Sweet Valley High books, and I was too old by the time the Babysitters Club or RL Stine books came along. Now I want to go back and reread some of my childhood favorites.

On the heels of taking the trip down the memory lane of my 1980s junior high reading, I found two of the books that have stuck with me over the years: the only Robert Cormier book I actually have read, and the story that had all of us wishing we could move objects with our minds. I love that I have these again, and suspect a few more YA classics will be added to my shelves.
