Life on the Home Front

I’m surprised by how much I enjoyed this quiet novel about a woman in WWII England, who, while helping with the home front efforts, learns about friendship, love, and herself. I also liked that one of the soldiers was a knitting Newfoundlander. With thanks to @sultanabun for her lovely post about this book, which made me aware of its existence in the first place, and then I happened upon a used copy just a few weeks later—serendipity!
