My reading year is off to a superlative start, continuing with this novel by @nathanielianmiller, which is by turns comic, austere, harrowing, and full of heart, and set in the remote Arctic archipelago of Svalbard. In choosing a background for the book photo, I opened my copy of “Polar Obsession” an oversized book of photos by @paulnicklen from both polar regions. I flipped through a couple pages until I saw this one and thought, perfect. Then I read the caption. Perfect, indeed.
